Dental braces consist of brackets and wires created to straighten teeth. Braces are installed on a patient’s mouth by our dentist to align their misaligned teeth. Braces contain wires that stay in their designated bracket slots with the help of some elastics, allowing the wires to move freely as needed without coming out completely when biting down. Dental braces come under the specialty of orthodontics, so they’re more commonly referred to as orthodontic treatment.
The different braces available at KDC are
Metal braces
These are the traditional types with metallic wires..
Ceramic braces
These braces use clear brackets instead metal ones, making them match the colour of your teeth.
Lingual braces
These are fixed on the backside of the teeth, making them not visible.
Clear aligners or Invisalign
They are removable plastic trays with no wires. These are completely invisible and are the best option if you don't want wires.
